The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given schools some extra time to conduct practical exams, project work, and internal assessments for Class 10 and 12 students in 2024. This decision comes after receiving requests from several schools for an extension.
The new deadline for completing these activities is March 31, 2024. This gives schools one last opportunity to finalize and upload marks for practical exams, projects, and internal assessments.
Earlier, there was some concern that schools wouldn't have enough time to complete everything before the original deadline. The CBSE responded by providing a clear deadline extension and additional resources to help schools conduct the exams smoothly.
This year, the CBSE also provided a breakdown of how marks would be distributed across theory, practical, project, and internal assessment components, with a maximum of 100 marks allocated to each subject.
Schools are expected to leverage this extension to ensure all Class 10 and 12 students have a fair and equal opportunity to complete their practical requirements and assessments.
This extension should ease some pressure on schools and students as they prepare for final exams.
