Citizen journalism emerges as the creation of  journalistic content  by ordinary citizens, riding on the waves of accessible digital technologies. However, the authors highlight the myriad challenges that accompany this evolution. Issues such as a lack of formal training, subjectivity, unverified information, and the potential for manipulation underscore the skepticism surrounding citizen journalism's credibility.
