Appario Retail Private Limited has donated Rs. 1.85 crore to support the education of underprivileged children in Bengaluru through collaborations with three non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The donation aims to fulfill the dreams of these children by providing them with educational opportunities. The NGOs, Christel House India, YuvaLok Foundation, and Jeevodaya Institute, have utilized the funds to implement various educational programs and initiatives. The objective is to overcome the obstacles faced by underprivileged children in Bengaluru, thus ensuring their access to quality education.
Appario Retail has collaborated with three NGOs, Christel House India, YuvaLok Foundation, and Jeevodaya Institute, to support educational programmes for underprivileged children. The company has sponsored the education of 70 school students under its Education Scholarship programme in partnership with Christel House India. It has also helped 32 undergraduate students with higher education scholarships and provided 10 classroom projectors to enhance their digital learning experience.
In collaboration with YuvaLok Foundation, the company has sponsored the education of 191 students, renovated several toilets for the teachers and students, and supported the higher education costs of 81 students. Additionally, Appario Retail has distributed 40 laptops to the Jeevodaya Institute to establish computer labs for the students and promote digitalization.
The main goal of these initiatives is to reduce the disparity in education between children from privileged and underprivileged backgrounds and provide an equal opportunity for students from economically disadvantaged families to receive a quality education. Aman Deep Lohan, the Managing Director and CEO of Appario Retail, expressed that the key to bridging the education gap in India is to provide every individual with an education that is of the same standard. He believes that only then will India be able to address inclusivity and offer underprivileged youth in the country equal opportunities to learn and grow. Lohan is pleased to support this crucial project that provides underprivileged children with access to a high-quality education that prepares them for future opportunities and gives them an edge in the modern world. He emphasizes the need to motivate and educate these underserved students on the importance of quality education to break the cycle of poverty they are trapped in.
The Chief Financial Officer commented that through these initiatives, our goal is to promote equality of opportunity for underprivileged children by equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills they need to achieve their developmental goals and succeed in a knowledge-driven society. There is a pressing need for practical learning and exposure to emerging digital technologies for children from low-income families to enhance their higher education and career prospects. We are thrilled to create an environment that welcomes children from all walks of life, and it will be a source of pride to see them thrive in their chosen fields.
