Due to a recent study by CSIR-CLRi, it was found that the average Indian foot size is wider than that of Americans and Europeans. Due to this reason, every Indian has been wearing a size larger than their feet because there is no better and more fitting size for them. And because they were not the right size, every Indian has faced the issue of shoe bites and other health conditions, especially among elders. So, after the survey has been conducted, it has been deemed fit and necessary to develop a new sizing system in India.
