ChatGPT and other AI Systems have gained an immense popularity since late 2022 as an AI chatbot created and trained using academic research, books, and other sources of information. It can be treated as a friend, enabling casual conversations and acting as a personal assistant that learns from users' questions and advice-seeking. 

 

According to a study by analytics company Similarweb, ChatGPT has broken records for the fastest expanding user base and garnered up to 100 million monthly users within two months of its January 2023 launch, showcasing how AI is permeating society and daily life.

 

Experts predict that AI and androids will play a significant role in our future, that they will be integrated into nearly every aspect of most people’s daily lives. As noted in the 2022 State of AI Report, more companies are developing their own AI workshops and making preparations to participate in AI development. However, depending on different adoption scenarios, automated technology could cause a loss of 400 to 800 million jobs by 2030, benefiting multinational firms. AI has several remarkable advantages, including the ability to work continuously for hours, enabling multitasking, and absorbing information quickly, allowing it to ultimately assist in determining the right decision.

 

Experts predict that  AI will outperform humans in difficult jobs , including composing articles, essays, translating languages, authoring novels, marketing goods, and even performing medical surgeries, within the next two decades. While AI will undoubtedly improve our daily lives in several ways, there is also concern as a recent report suggests there is a 50% chance that AI will outperform humans in every job in 45 years.

This makes us question whether AI is actually helping us or drowning us with future impairments .  A very famous saying goes, “Too much is too bad.” Similarly, we can apply in this scenario also, that AI is pretty advantageous to us, however a line should be drawn between so that the AI cannot take complete control over us. People have been fretting over recent times because in the early 2023 an extensive use of AI Systems has been observed which has gotten many people to reconsider their choices relating to Artificial Intelligence.

 

Initially, the development of AI was driven by the need to create machines capable of performing tasks that required human intelligence, including automating hazardous and life-threatening jobs. However, with the advancement of AI technology, its applications have taken on a new direction.

It's important to recognize that AI is not inherently good or bad but rather a tool that can be used for positive or negative purposes. Thus, it is essential to continue monitoring the development of AI and ensure that it is used responsibly and ethically. Ultimately, the future of AI lies in our hands, and it is up to us to decide how we want this technology to shape our world while being mindful of the potential risks and benefits.

 

As AI rapidly develops and gains widespread acceptance across various aspects of society, it will undoubtedly have a significant impact on our work, communication, and our perception of what it means to be an artist. However, it is crucial to maintain a healthy balance between AI and our humanity to avoid a society completely dominated by technology.

The thought of relying on AI for even the simplest tasks is unsettling, as it could lead to a societal slowdown and a lack of motivation. The most alarming consequence would be the loss of our identity, which is fundamental to our humanity. AI may transform us into humanoid beings, leaving us lost in an endless, soulless world of augmented reality. Therefore, it is important to approach AI with caution to preserve our essence as human beings.

However, among the whole fiasco of AI taking over, we also have certain things we can take care of to prevent from the deteriorating rate of human jobs. To deal with the potential consequences of AI on employment, there are several coping strategies that could be pursued. One approach is for governments and companies to invest in education and training programs that can help workers shift to jobs that are less vulnerable to automation. Furthermore, policies could be enacted to offer financial assistance and support for workers who are displaced by AI. 

 

To sum up, while AI has immense possibilities, it also presents notable dangers. It is essential to acknowledge these hazards and devise strategies to reduce them. Otherwise, we may encounter a scenario where AI has dominated various aspects of our existence, leaving humans with limited prospects for substantial employment and involvement in the community.
