The day recognizes the crucial role played by National Meteorological and Hydrological Services in ensuring the safety and prosperity of society. World Meteorological Day will feature events worldwide to celebrate the vital contributions of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services to society's safety and well-being. The 2023 World Meteorological Day focuses on the theme of “The Future of Weather, Climate, and Water across Generations," highlighting the urgency to tackle the issues of climate change and devise sustainable approaches to manage water and weather-related aspects for the forthcoming generations.
